How we look after your information

This is a small, personal wedding website built for our family and friends, not a business. Here's exactly what we collect, why, and how you can ask us to change or delete it.

What we collect and why

When you RSVP, we collect: your party/household name, the names of your group, your email address (used to sign in), your attendance and meal choices, dietary requirements or allergies, camping preferences, whether you're able to help with setup or pack-down, and anything you add in the notes field. If you upload a photo, we store the image and the name you enter as the uploader.

We use this purely to plan the wedding weekend: working out numbers for catering, camping and the venue, and to share a photo album with the people who were there. We don't use it for marketing, we don't sell or share it with anyone outside of running the site, and we don't show your RSVP answers to other guests.

Dietary and allergy information

We ask for this so our caterers can keep everyone safe. It's used only for that purpose, only seen by us as hosts, and deleted along with the rest of the guest list after the wedding.

Where it's stored

Everything is stored in a password-protected database and file storage on our own web hosting (Hostinger), which acts as our data processor. The guest area is protected by a login unique to your invite; the host dashboard is separately password-protected and only accessible to us.

How long we keep it

We'll delete the guest list, RSVPs and photos once we no longer need them for planning, realistically within a few months of the wedding. If you'd like your information removed sooner, just ask us directly and we'll do it straight away.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to see what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Just get in touch with us directly (however you'd normally reach Wesley & Amelia). Since this is a personal website run by us for our own wedding rather than a company, there's no separate "data protection officer", just message us.

Cookies

This site uses exactly one type of cookie: a session cookie that keeps you signed in once you've logged in with your invite details. It's strictly necessary for the RSVP and gallery to work, and doesn't track you anywhere else. We don't use analytics, advertising, or any third-party tracking cookies.

This page is provided as a straightforward, good-faith summary rather than formal legal advice.
