THE WEEKEND

Everything you need to know

Newmanfest is a full weekend celebration. Come for the day, or pitch a tent and stay the whole time.

Where

Down on the Farm

Moor Lane, Charlton, SN16 9DR. Fields for parking and camping, all on site.

Follow the Newmanfest signs from the lane.

When

Saturday 27th March 2027

The main celebration runs all day Saturday. Camping is open from Friday 26th through Sunday 28th (and beyond, if you fancy it).

Dress

Formal attire, no blue or white

We'd love you to dress up for the occasion. Think formal attire rather than festival wear.

Please avoid wearing blue or white. These are reserved for the bridal party.

No formal footwear. We want people to be comfortable, and please bear in mind this is a campsite in March!

Food

BBQ & buffet

Please let us know of any dietary requirements on your RSVP so we can cater properly.

All day

You'll get a choice of Burgers, Hot Dogs or Pizza, picked when you RSVP.

Evening

A buffet will be provided for everyone joining us then.

Kids

All welcome

Kids are welcome throughout the wedding, from the ceremony to the last dance.

Camping

Pitch up with us

Camping is available right here on site for £20 per night, per pitch, or £30 per night with an electric hookup.

There are limited hard standing and electric pitches, so these will be first come, first served. We'll send details on how to book these later.

There are proper toilet and shower facilities on site.

Just let us know which nights on your RSVP.

Gifts

Your presence is present enough

We're so grateful to be spending the day with you. That's the only gift we need.

We don't have a gift list, but if you'd like to contribute towards our honeymoon adventures, or treat us to a meal voucher for when we're back, it would be greatly appreciated.

RUNNING ORDER

The weekend, roughly

Fri 26 Mar

Setup day

We'll be setting up the site and venue throughout the day, with no fixed start time, just whenever we can get going.

If you're able to lend a hand, let us know on your RSVP, we'd love the help!

Sat 27 Mar

Wedding day & Newmanfest

Please arrive and be seated by 2pm for a 2:30pm start.

From there it's celebrations all the way: BBQ, evening buffet, live bands and dancing long into the night.

Sun 28 Mar

Brunch & pack down

Breakfast and brunch will be available in the on-site café for anyone staying over. It'll be at your own expense, but a well-earned treat after the weekend we've had!

We need the café reset to fully functioning by 10am, with the rest of pack-down continuing through the day. Extra hands always welcome, just let us know on your RSVP.

Extra days

Staying longer?

If you'd like to camp beyond the weekend, just add it as an extra night on your RSVP and we'll confirm details with you.

FAQ

Good questions

What time does everything happen?

Friday: setup, throughout the day with no fixed start time.

Saturday: please arrive and be seated by 2pm for a 2:30pm ceremony start, with live bands and dancing continuing into the evening.

Sunday: the café needs to be reset to fully functioning by 10am, with the rest of pack-down continuing through the day.

What's the difference between an evening and all-day invite?

All-day guests join us from the ceremony onward through the whole celebration. Evening guests join us at the venue from 6pm.

Evening isn't an adults-only session: it's for everyone, kids included. Your invite type is set on your RSVP login. Get in touch with us if you think it's wrong.

What's the dress code?

Formal attire, rather than festival wear. Please avoid wearing blue or white, these are reserved for the bridal party.

No formal footwear. We want people to be comfortable, and please bear in mind this is a campsite in March!

I have a dietary requirement, what do I do?

Please add it on your RSVP so our caterers know in advance. There's a dedicated field for it alongside your meal choice.

Is there breakfast on Sunday?

Yes, anyone staying over is welcome to grab breakfast/brunch at the on-site café Sunday morning. It'll be at your own expense, but a lovely way to ease into the day!

How does camping work?

Pitch your own tent (or campervan) in the field next to the farm. Select which nights you'd like on the RSVP form.

It's £20 a night, or £30 a night with an electric hookup. No payment is needed now, we'll sort that closer to the day.

Electric hookups and hard standing pitches are limited, so these are first come, first served. We'll send details on how to book these closer to the day.

There are proper toilet and shower facilities on site.

Is there parking?

Yes, there's parking throughout the site, both in the field and in a dedicated car park. Just follow signs on the day.

How do I get there?

We'd recommend pre-booking a taxi if you're not driving or staying on site, as the area is quite remote.

Can I help with setup or pack down?

We'd really appreciate it! There's a spot on the RSVP to let us know if you're free to help set up on Friday and/or with pack-down on Sunday.

Can I bring my dog?

This is normally a dog-friendly site, but with so many of you joining us, we've made the tough call to ask that four-legged friends stay home this time. We hope you understand, we'll miss seeing them!
